Kevin M. Taylor, MD, MS

Kevin M. Taylor, M.D., M.S., is Chair of the Mackinac Learning Collaborative III. As Chair, Dr. Taylor leads select MLC sessions, serves as a resource to participant physicians and their practice teams and works with curriculum designers to ensure that MLC III content is appropriate and immediately applicable.

Dr. Taylor has a strong interest in primary and patient-centered care. In addition to serving as a practicing internist at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor and Chief Medical Director for the St. Joseph Mercy Medical Group, he is the Assistant Medical Director of Michigan’s Primary Care Transformation (MiPCT) Project. Michigan is one of the eight states selected by CMS in November 2010 for participation in a multi-payer demonstration of advanced primary care practices, also known as patient-centered medical homes/PCMH.  Dr. Taylor works with the Medical Director of MiPCT, Jean Malouin, M.D., MPH, to assist in running MiPCT.
 
Dr. Taylor received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in medical administration from the University of Wisconsin. Additionally, he received clinical education training through the Stanford Faculty Development Program in Palo Alto, California. Dr. Taylor is also a graduate of the Advanced Training Program in Healthcare Improvement at Intermountain Health Care.
